Al-Imām Sufyān Ibn ʿUyaynah Al-Makkī said:
Whoever sows goodness will reap joy, and whoever sows evil will reap regret. You commit evil deeds and hope to be rewarded with good deeds? Certainly not, just as grapes are not harvested from thorns.
